Migration is a mass transfer process which is of concern for consumer products which transfer their constituents to an extend resulting in significant exposure. Depending on the toxicology of the migrating compound the related exposure, via food or drinking water, may endanger human health.

The SAFE+ Alogrithmics GmbH offers the following web services:

migraDASH

Through the dasboard (migraDASH) the parameters relevant for the migration simulation are collected and finally converted into a configuration file (in JSON-format) which is sent to the mass transport simulation service (migraSIM).

migraSIM

The simulation service (migraSIM) is a numerical algorithm which solves the second law of diffusion for a mono- or multi-layer material structure. The layers are assumed to be of uniform thicknes and parall to each other. The mass transfer occurs one dimensional across the layers.
